About e2i

Incorporated in 2007, e2i (Employment and Employability Institute) is a tripartite initiative involving the National Trades Union Congress (NTUC), the Singapore National Employers Federation (SNEF), and the Singapore Labour Foundation (SLF). This collaboration is further bolstered by strong partnerships with Workforce Singapore (WSG) and SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG). e2i, which manages the NTUC CTC Grant, plays a crucial role in this collaborative effort.

e2i is the empowering network for workers and employers seeking employment and employability solutions. e2i serves as a bridge between workers and employers, connecting with workers to offer job security through job-matching, career guidance and skills upgrading services, and partnering employers to address their manpower needs through recruitment, training and job redesign solutions. e2i is a tripartite initiative of the National Trades Union Congress set up to support nation-wide manpower and skills upgrading initiatives.

e2i serves individuals and businesses through our extensive network of over 5,000 partners which includes the Labor Movement’s network, industry associations, training partners, Government agencies, and community partners.

About NTUC CTC Grant

The NTUC CTC Grant is designed to support enterprises with Company Training Committees (CTCs) in implementing transformative projects that benefit both the business and its workers. The grant aims to scale up these efforts to improve worker outcomes, thereby enhancing overall productivity and innovation within participating organizations.

Funded Components

The NTUC CTC Grant covers various expenses related to the transformation project, focusing on achieving both business and worker outcomes. Eligible components for funding include:

  • Consultancy Services: Professional expertise to guide and support the implementation of transformation initiatives.
  • Equipment and Software: Investments in technology and tools that facilitate productivity improvements and innovation.

The grant provides funding of up to 70% of the qualifying costs for each project application, making it a highly accessible and valuable resource for businesses looking to drive significant change.

Project Criteria

  • Enterprise transformation: Enhanced business capabilities, innovation and/or productivity;
  • Workforce transformation: Improved employment outcomes for local workers (i.e., SC/PRs) through efforts such as job redesign, and commit to the following worker outcomes: Wage increment; and/or Implemented Career Development Plan (CDP) that is communicated to staf

Application Period and Process

The NTUC CTC Grant is open for applications over a four-year period, from August 1, 2022, to July 31, 2026. This extended timeframe allows businesses ample opportunity to plan, execute, and benefit from their transformation projects.

Step 1

Form a CTC by contacting your union or emailing trainandtransform@ntuc.org.sg. Visit trainandtransform.ntuc.org.sg for more information on CTCs.

Step 2

Applicant to develop transformation project and show how it leads to better worker and business outcomes.

Step 3

Submit the CTC-endorsed transformation project for NTUC’s e2i grant application. Applicants are strongly encouraged to engage NTUC’s e2i at www.e2i.sg/ctcqueries on their project applications before submission.
